prostitution is ugly

The prostitute reduces you to a loaf of bread. (Proverbs 6:26).

This may be a silly comment, but I could never see the appeal of prostitutes.

In Germany, when I was in the army, a lot of the guys found out that prostitution was not only legal, but cheap. For ten marks ($2.50 at the time), you could buy a girl. There was even a street people called Ten Mark Strasse where they hung out. And to top it off, the government gave them medical inspections to make sure they were healthy.

But for some reason, it just never appealed. I suppose that it was a combination of things, the major part being the moral training my parents gave me.

But there is absolutely no love, no compassion, no caring, no affection with a prostitute. It is nothing but a business transaction.

To her, you are nothing more than a loaf of bread. It is not love she is selling. To her you are nothing more than money she can spend on something else. And all the pretend passion she can muster is nothing more than marketing.

I read an article on the web yesterday about women who had gone into prostitution full time. Their reason? They could make more money in a short time as prostitutes than they could at their former office jobs.

Of course, they lose some things. They lost their self-respect, for one thing. No woman can allow themselves to be used by men for commercial purposes without suffering the loss of their self-image. Term it however you want – love partner, sex worker – prostitutes are still whores and people who go to them debase not only the woman, but also themselves.

Sex is supposed to be a commitment, not a recreational pursuit with friends and strangers. When used wrong, it lessens the act and makes it ugly. Our children are hurt when they see it in any other way. And it impacts their futures.

And why in the world would people want to make something so beautiful when used right, would want to make it ugly.

You are welcome to say anything you want as long as it is nice. If I don't like it, or it is ugly, I will take it off, place it into the garbage disposal, grind it up, and allow it to be flushed into the Gulf of Mexico where it will be eaten by a fish and then excreted where it will lie on the bottom of the ocean until it is covered up by other comments.
