java soaked theological philosophy and associated blather from a spiritual nomad

Disclaimer

I am a man with a great love for my Lord, the church and her members, and for coffee, strong and black.
I also have a great love for writing.
Everything I say here is my own opinion. Why in the world would I hold someone else's opinion?

Daily Java: In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. (Romans 8:26-27)

There are times we just don’t know what to say. It is then that God steps in and helps us.

He knows that we don’t always have the right words, or in the proper order. He also knows that sometimes we are just too depressed to even speak.

It is like the times when we sit with a friend who has suffered a horrible catastrophe and there aren’t even words to say. Just sitting, just companionship. You know how he feels, he doesn’t have to tell you. You just know.

That is us and God. He knows how we feel. Sometimes we just come to him and sit, with an internal groaning, an overwhelming sadness. And he sits with us.

Yes, our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29), but he is also a quiet friend who loves us.

After all, he made our minds, he can sure understand how they work.

And he loves us. That counts for a lot.

You are welcome to say anything you want as long as it is nice. If I don't like it, or it is ugly, I will take it off, place it into the garbage disposal, grind it up, and allow it to be flushed into the Gulf of Mexico where it will be eaten by a fish and then excreted where it will lie on the bottom of the ocean until it is covered up by other comments.
